Earlier today at the Sumiyoshi Ward Center in Osaka City fans saw the exciting "KO Machine" Masao Nakamura (22-3, 21) [仲村 正男] record his 21st stoppage win as he destroyed Thai visitor San Saknarong (3-6, 1) in 2 rounds, to record a 4th successive victory and take a huge step towards a major bout.
The former OPBF Super Featherweight champion looked sharper than usual from the off with his jab looking excellent and landing almost at will through the opening round. That jab opened up opportunities in round 2 as he began to land his thunderous power shots, which dropped San hard. The Thai's fighting heart saw him try to beat the count but his body was unable to get up with the stoppage coming at the 1 minute 42 second mark of the second round.
Following the bout Nakamura stated that he was wanting to fight for a world title this year, and would travel anywhere to face anyone for a world title. At the moment he is only world ranked by the IBF, though we wouldn't be shocked to see him move into the lower echelons of the other rankings if a champion was happy to face him in the near future.
