Just over a week ago we reported that that world ranked Japanese Heavyweight Kyotaro Fujimoto (12-1, 6) would be returning to the ring on October 21st at "Dangan 142" to face Croatian journeyman Jakov Gospic (15-13, 11) in an 8 round bout. Sadly it's since been announced that Gospic has suffered an injury and will not be fighting Fujimoto after all.
At the moment the promoter, reason, are seeking a replacement opponent but with less than a month to go it seems incredibly unlikely that they will manage to get a worthwhile replacement, however it does seem likely that he will remain on the card and it could be that he faces a very poor regional Heavyweight, instead of a somewhat limited European Heavyweight.
Kyotaro's promotional gym, Kadoebi Houseki Boxing Gym, have issued a statement saying that they will update the news when they have the name of his replacement foe, which is expected to be announced in the coming days.
Kyotaro Fujimoto to return on October 21st!
