In a third bit of Korean news, regarding the country's returning boxing scene, the Korean Boxing Association (KBA) have announced that they will be sanctioning a Bumjin promoted show on June 6th, from the Road Boxing Gym in Homsong-ro.
The event will be shown on a variety of media outlets including STN Sports and YouTube, as well as a channel listed as Indian Sports.
Sadly the show is a very small one with 4 bouts scheduled for it, all of which are featuring novices. It's due to the novice status of the fighters that the even is being run under the moniker "Korea Boxing Association 2020 Rookie Ranking Exhibition".
This will be one of 3 shows now announced for June in Korea, and it's becoming very clear that the country will be picking up it's boxing scene earlier than most. However there is still a long, long way to go until we start to see title level fights in the country.
At the time of writing the only shows announced for Korea are rookie shows with the KBC, KBA and KBM all set to oversee rookie events in June. Hopefully that will lead to domestic title bouts, or even international title bouts in the months that follow.
