Tomorrow Japanese fans in Tokyo will get the chance to see former Japanese and OPBF champion Yoshitaka Kato (29-7-1, 9) [加藤 善孝] take on world ranked Australian Brandon Ogilvie (16-1, 8) in what looks set to be a very competitive and tough fight for both men.
Today those two men took part in their weigh in for the bout and both managed to make the Lightweight limit.
On the scales the shaven headed Japanese warrior was bang on the limit at 135lbs, a weight that he has been consistent at since he began his career around 12 years ago. Although he made the weight he is coming into this bout on some faltering form with back to back losses, and a 3-3 record in his last 6.
Ogilvie was slightly lighter on the scales, but only slightly, and appeared in great shape for the bout, whilst also looking like a confident young man looking to secure his 12th straight win, and his first outside of his native Australia.
