Earlier today in Japan fans and the media had a chance to see the public work out of American boxer Jessie Nicklow (24-43, 8), ahead of his December 30th bout with Japanese star Ryota Murata (5-0, 4).
The American appeared respectful of his opponent, suggesting he knew about Murata's style and strengths, though also seemed to have belief that there was a chance for him to return home with a win.
As well as his comments to the media Nicklow showed nice speed in hitting the mitts with his trainer though did seem like he lacked real sting on his shots, something that is reflected on his record. It's fair to say that if he can't get Murata's respect in the ring then he could find himself being walked down by the excellent Japanese fighter who has shown incredible strength so far in his career.
