Tomorrow Japanese fans will get the chance to see a solid looking card on NTV G+. The main event of that card will see former world title challenger Ryosuke Iwasa (20-2, 12) [岩佐 亮佑] battle against well travelled Filipino fighter Dennis Tubieron (19-6-2, 8).
Today the two men weighed in for the bout, which has been contracted at 123¾lbs.
On the scales both men made the weight, with something to spare, with both coming in at 123½lbs.
The weight is a career high for Iwasa, who has typically been fighting at Bantamweight but has seemingly grown out of the division, something he had hinted at almost two years ago , following his bout with Richard Pumicpic. For Tubieron the bout sees him fighting in Japan for the third time, and weighs about the same as he was last time out, when he fight Takafumi Nakajima. He has however been fighting much higher than this recently and was 129¾lbs just two fighters ago, when he was stopped in the UK by the naturally bigger Mitchell Smith.
