Tomorrow fight fans in Japan will get the chance to see future world title challenger Ryosuke Iwasa (22-2, 14) [岩佐 亮佑] battling Filpiino foe Glenn Medura (8-1-1, 5) in a bout being fought at a contracted 124lbs, well above the Super Bantamweight division that Iwasa is currently plying his trade at.
On the scales today both men were under that contracted limit.
Iwasa, who will be facing IBF Super Bantamweight champion Yukinori Oguni later in the year, was arround 123.7lbs, showing that whilst 124lbs wasn't a stretch he didn't want to boil his body down too much for this tune up bout.
Whilst Iwasa was under the limit by a small margin Medura was well under the limit, at around 12.25lbs, show that whilst he wasn't trying to make the Super Bantamweight division he is, naturally, a smaller man than Iwasa, and was clearly shorter at the weigh in.
