Earlier today in Osaka saw the pre-fight medicals for the two fighters involved in Wednesday's WBA Flyweight title bout between defending champion Juan Carlos Reveco (35-1, 19), or Argentina, and Japanese challenger Kazuto Ioka (16-1, 10).
The medicals saw both men being measured and the figures from those measurements made it clear that Ioka was the taller and longer fighter.
Surprisingly the former unified Minimumweight champion is almost 10cm (4") taller than his foe and has most than 4cm (1.6") in reach advantage.
Ioka also boasts the advantage of being the younger man given he's only 26 whilst Reveco is 31. However Reveco had got his own advantages with many more fights on his record and significantly more rounds. He has also more experience in the Flyweight division, where Ioka has fought just thrice.
A win for Ioka will see him setting the "speed record" for fewest fights to claim 3 divisional titles, breaking the long standing record of Jeff Fenech, and will also become the second Japanese fighter to have won world titles in 3 divisions.
