Boxing brothers are nothing new through out the boxing world but there does seem to be something about. Be it the Galaxy brothers, the Kameda's, the Klitschko's, the Marquez's or the Curry's, they all seem to have make us take note that little more than we would if the family just had 1 fighter.
The next pairing of super brothers appear to be the Inoue's who were both victorious earlier today.
The first of the Inoue's in action was the debuting Takuma Inoue (1-0) who made a successful start to his professional career by out pointing the nationally ranked Tatsuya Fukuhara (12-4-3, 3). Takuma Inoue dropped just a sole round as he took a unanimous decision with scores of 59-55, 59-55 and 59-56.
Of course when we talk about the Inoue brother's the one that has everyone excited is Naoya Inoue (5-0, 4). Naoya, fighting for just the 5th time as a professional made light work of Filipino Jerson Mancio (18-4-3, 9) stopping him in round 5. This victory sees Inoue claiming the OPBF Light Flyweight title, which was previously vacant, and taking one more step towards a world title.
Although Mancio is now 0-3 in Japan it's worth noting that Inoue took just 1 round more to stop him than Ryo Miyazaki. Just 3 fights after Miyazaki beat Mancio, Miyazaki himself became a world champion.
On the same card Ryosuke Iwasa stopped Hiroki Shiino for OPBF Bantamweight title.
