Earlier today in Korea saw the official weight in for tomorrow's WBA female Super Featherweight title fight between defending champion Hyun Mi Choi (9-0-1, 3) and veteran challenger Chika Mizutani (14-4, 7).
Although the weights of neither fighter have been released to us as of yet we have been informed that both fighters made weight and both were said to be in great condition for tomorrow's fight.
Choi, who amazingly won the WBA female Featherweight title on her debut, will be hoping to record the 2nd defense of her Super Featherweight world title and look to continue her great story that began with her fighting in North Korea, under the idea that she was a potential medalist in the 2008 Olympics. At just 24 years old the champion has had an incredibly interesting life and she'll be hoping to continue it as a world champion.
As for the 33 year old Mizutani this will be her first bout in 23 months, following a loww to the sensational Erica Anabella Farias. This will be Mizutani's 3rd bout in Korea and although she is win-less she will be going in to this bout feeling like there is nothing to lose. A win will see her going out as a world champion whilst a loss for the Japanese fighter will allow her to say that she gave it one last try and was beaten by a talented and young opponent.
