The future regarding former 2-weight world champion Hozumi Hasegawa (34-5, 15) appears to be in serious doubt again after reports from Japan suggest he has re-injured his right foot whilst sliding down some stairs.
From what we understand the injury isn't too severe however the fact the injury has effected an area that was already inured this year has left some speculating that Hasegawa's career may well be heading towards an end.
The talented Japanese fighter, who looked really good last time out as he defeated Horacio Garcia, is now 34 and if injuries are going to mount it may well be that Hasegawa walks away from in ring activity sooner rather than later. From what we understand however the current injury will not be force Hasegawa to rush any decision regarding his future with the injured expected to heal with a bit of time.
