On April 16th international fight fans will get a chance to see the "Slimming Assassin" Hisashi Amagasa (30-5-2, 20) [天笠 尚] fight on foreign soil for the first time, as he faces unbeaten Englishman Josh Warrington (22-0, 4) in the UK.
Ahead of that fight Amagasa has been training hard and recently went through a 12 round spar to help prepare to face Warrington. That spar seemed to show that Amagasa had built up his stamina excellently, though it's fair to say he will need it given Warrington's intense high put, though it does need to be said that Amagasa will also be needing to make the most of his advantage in power.
The tall and rangy Amagasa is best known for his 2014 battle with Guillermo Rigondeaux. Although Amagasa lost that one he did impress with his heart, guts and resiliency, and also dropped Rigondeaux twice during the contest. He was however stopped and given severe facial swelling.
