Earlier today Japanese fight fans at the Korakuen Hall had the chance to see a short camoe from fast rising prospect Hiroto Kyoguchi (4-0, 4) [京口 紘人]. The talented Watanabe gym prospect was facing Filipino Michael Camelion (8-4-1, 6) in what looked like an interesting bout on paper.
Sadly for fans wanting to see a good fight Camelion failed to last 40 seconds with Kyoguchi, who dropped his man with a peach of a left uppercutt. Camelion narrowly beat the 10 count but staggered upon rising to his feet and was immediately stopped, with an official time of 33 seconds.
After the win Kyoguchi announced that his next bout had been set for December 31st, as part of the stacked Watanabe card "The Best of Best". On that card Kyoguchi will face Indonesian veteran Heri Amol (37-30-5, 15) in what looks like a step up, but in reality should be another straight forward win. We'll admit we really like Kyoguchi but we do hope that 2017 will see him step up in class, significantly, as he oozes ability.
For those who have a boxingraise subscription Kyoguchi's bout with Camelion is currently on there, for those who don't there is footage below courtesy of エンターテイメント動画.
