Earlier today Japanese fans in Tokyo had the chance to see Koki Inoue (3-0, 3) [浩樹井上] record his third stoppage win, as he easily disposed of Indonesian fighter Bimo Jaguar (0-1)*.
The talented Inoue, the cousin of world champion Naoya Inoue and OPBF champion Takuma Inoue, made his intent clear from the opening seconds of the bout as he attacked Jaguar. That left him slightly open, and he was forced to take a shot or two, though it wasn't long until his power had an effect on Jaguar who was dropped from a body shot.
Jaguar, to his credit, showed his heart by getting back to his feet but was swiftly sent down by another body shot as Inoue destroyed his foe and forced the referee in to action.
Following the bout Inoue has said that he's a Japanese or OPBF title before the year is out, though it's clear he will need some more ring time before fighting for a title given he has amassed a mere just over 6 minutes of ring time so far with 3 opening round stoppages in his first 3 bouts.
*Jaguar's record has been reported as 5-2-1 (1)
