Tomorrow fight fans at the Sumiyoshi Ward Center in Osaka will get the chance to see super prospect Hinata Maruta (2-0, 1) [丸田 陽七太] fight for his first title as he takes on the unbeaten Filipino Wilbert Berondo (10-0, 4) for the WBC Youth Bantamweight title.
Unsurprisingly both men made weight today at the weigh in they showed their intention to claim a title and move them on the road to success.
Despite being the taller man at the weigh in the lighter man was actually Maruta who came in 300g below the limit, weigh in at 53.2KG's, or 117.3lbs. That is comfortably under the weight limit and is a career for the 19 year old Japanese sensation.
Berondo was slightly heavier weighing in at 53.3KG's, or 117.5lbs, though did look like the smaller man from looking at the two fighters, and he was actually surprised by how tall Maruta was when they were weighing in.
Sadly fans outside of Osaka will need to wait until Monday to see this bout with Boxingraise kicking off it's second month with this bout on a 24 hour delay.
