Tomorrow fight fans world wide will get the chance to tune in to a huge Middleweight clash as Kazakh sensation Gennady Golovkin (36-0, 33) defends his WBC, IBF, IBO and WBA "super" titles against WBA "regular" champion Daniel Jacobs (32-1, 29).
Today the two men took part in their weigh in for the contest and both managed to make the 160lb weight limit.
On the scales Golovkin was the lighter man, weighing in at 159.6lbs, well under the limit. Although under the limit Golovkin looked relaxed and confident and almost as if he had made the weight and enjoyed doing so, something that didn't look to be the case last time out when he fought Kell Brook. Interestingly Golovkin was heavier than he has been in his last two fights, but is similar to what he was against David Lemieux back in October 2015.
As for Jacobs he was 159.8lbs and looked dry and almost nervous at times. Although he was under-the weight the general view is that he's going to be piling on the pounds now and will make the most of the early weigh in to have a significant weigth advantage come fight time.
