This coming Sunday fight fans in Kunamoto will get the chance to see local hopeful Tatsuya Fukuhara (18-4-6, 7) [福原 辰弥] battle with Mexican Moises Calleros (25-6-1, 14) for the WBO interim Minimumweight title. Today, ahead of their bout, the two men each took part in their public work out, with both looking in great shape and ready for the bout.
Fukuhara stated that he wanted to deliver some bright news to those in the Kunamoto region and itseems like part of the driving force behind his rise in recent times has been the earthquake that hit the area last year, with the earthquake costing 50 lives and injuring thousands. He'll know that the local area will be behind him and that a win will give the area someting to be excited with, and for the Honda Fitness Gym it would also put them on the map and give them their first world champion.
Although the work out wasn't the most strenuous, as he did shome shadow boxing and worked the heavy bag, it was clear that the hard had mostly been done and that he wasn't going to risk over-doing anything this close to fight time. The same also applied to Calleros who only took part in a 10 minute work out, thoiugh he looked very confident and almost like he was enjoying the fact he was the away fighter.
Fukuhara looks to continues rise as he takes on exciting Calleros!
