Earlier today we saw an official announcement in regards to the April 10th show in Soka. The show, dubbed "Nettō joshi", which translates as "Fierce Women", had been known about for weeks but was only officially announced this morning.
The card will be held in Soka and will be held as charity event, of sorts, for those effect by the Great East Japan Earthquake, an earthquake that I'm sure we all remember for the loss of life it caused. As part of the show a number of tickets will be given away to survivors of the earthquake.
As we have already reported both Ayaka Miyao (20-6-2, 4) [宮尾 綾香], the former WBA Atomweight champion, and IBF female Light Flyweight world champion, Naoko Shibata (14-3-1, 4) [柴田 直子] will be on the show, and will be the headline fighters. We also believe that WBA Super Featherweight champion Takashi Uchiyama [内山 高志] is booked to be on the show, in what we understand will be a Q&A session.
Naoko Shibata to be in action April 10th!
