According to sources in Indonesian there is a deal in place for a major fight in Bali on October 4th. The bout in question will see the popular, and always fun to watch, Daud Yordan (34-3-0-1, 24) battling against world ranked Australian Josh King (20-3, 9) in what appears to look like a world title eliminator as well as a unification bout of 4 WBO regional titles.
Coming in to the bout Yordan Is ranked #5 by the WBO and currently holds the WBO "Africa" and WBO "interim Asia-Pacific" titles at Lightweight. He is, clearly, in good form with 4 straights coming over good fringe contenders such as Sipho Taliwe, Daniel Eduardo Brizuela, Ronald Pontillas and Maxwell Awuku. He'll be looking to continue that winning run in his next bout.
As for King, he is himself ranked #10 by the WBO and is currently the holder of the WBO "Oriental" and "Asia Pacific" titles. He has won his last 8, and although none of the opponents have been great his form been impressive as he's turned around his career, which was faltering at 12-3 just 4 years ago.
Whilst this bout has yet to be confirmed the sources in Indonesia do seem confident it will be a done deal. It does need noting however that this bout was mooted for back in April and disappeared without a trace with Yordan then fighting Awuku instead. Hopefully the fight will be confirmed shortly and if so, it will likely be aired free on Indonesia TV.
