Earlier today Japanese Flyweight Daigo Higa (10-0, 10) [比嘉 大吾] was in the ring to receive a special award as the Japanese MVP for July, an award he earned following his destruction of Ardin Diale in a bout for the OPBF Flyweight title.
Whilst being given the award Higa was able to say a few words to those at the Korakuen Hall, and those watching on boxingraise.com.
The exciting youngster revealed a number of things to the fans including the fact his ring return is scheduled for November.
Sadly whilst Higa is scheduled for a November ring return there was no other details revealed about the contest. It maybe his first defense of the OPBF Flyweight title, which he paraded proudly in the ring today, or it could be a world title bout, with IBF champion Jonriel Casimero (23-3, 15) being a possible target.
Another thing Higa revealed was that he'd like to get a world title fight whilst still having a 100% stoppage record, suggesting it would increase fan interest in a world title bout.
For those who missed Higa's win over Diale we have included it below.
