On Sunday in Thailand fans had the chance to see a Japan Vs Thailand show, featuring 6 international bouts and several local, all-Thai bouts.
The main event of the show was a PABA Light Middleweight title bout that saw visitor Cobra Suwa (17-11-2, 9) claim the title with a 2nd round win against the horribly limited Khompetch Sithsaithong (5-7, 5), who suffered his 4th straight loss, and his 6th stoppage loss.
The win was Suwa's second successive victory in Thailand and saw him adding the PABA belt to the WBC Asian Boxing Council silver title, that he won in July.
Suwa's exploits weren't the only ones of note for Japanese boxing as fellow Japanese fighter Satomi Nishimura (9-2, 1) claimed the PABA female Light Flyweight title with an 8 round decision win over Namphaya Sakpracha (5-3, 4).
Other notable fighters to record wins on the show were Takuya Watanabe (27-6-1, 13) and Yosuke Kirima (22-5-2, 15), who both notched stoppage wins against debutants.
