Earlier today we were informed that unbeaten Thai hopeful Chanachai CP Freshmart (5-0, 2) [ชนะชัย พีซีเฟรชมาร์ท] will be returning to the ring on January 29th as defends his WBC Youth Minimumweight crown against fellow unbeaten Dexter Alimento (9-0,6), from the Philippines.
For those who haven't seen the exciting Chanachai he does look to be another of Thailand's notable emerging fighters with a really fan friendly style based on ultra-aggression and high work rate. It's that work rate that has seen the young Thai claim the WBC Youth title and record two defenses of the title, including 10 round decisions over Wilber Andogan and Lester Abutan.
As for Alimento he's the current MinProBA Minimumweight champion and, at just 19 years old, he really does have a lot of time to develop into becoming a very good fighter. This is however a massive step up for the Filipino who has never previously faced a fighter with a winning record, or fought outside of the Philippines. Despite the step up the youngster will be confident given his unbeaten record.
For those who haven't seen the champion in action we have included footage of him below.
