Tomorrow fight fans in Japan will get the chance to see WBA Super Bantamweight champion Nehomar Cermeno (26-5-1-1, 15) defending his title against Japanese challenger Shun Kubo (11-0, 8) [久保隼]. Today, ahead of their clash, the two men took part in their weigh in for the bout.
At the weigh in Cermeno came in at around 121.5lbs, comfortably under the limit. Despite being the smaller man he looked confident, though did look to be showing his age with his beard looking grey. Whilst he did look old he does enter as the champion and does have a real sense of self belief.
Kubo on the other hand was slightly heavier at 121.7lbs for the bout. He towered over Cermeno and it's clear he has the reach, height and you advantages, but is significantly less experienced than the champion and will have to watch out for the veterans crafty tricks.
For those interested this bout will be aired on Kansai TV live from 16:00 local time.
