On Sunday in Korea fans had the chance to see a former world champion in town as the heavy handed Randall Bailey (46-8-0-1, 39) took part in his Korean debut.
The hard hitting American made a memorable impression on the fans at the Sunhak Gymnasium in Incheon as he stopped Japanese visitor Shusaku Fujinaka (12-6-2, 8) in the 7th round of a bout that had been relatively competitive through the first 6 rounds.
The bout started well enough for Fujinaka who appeared to know that a win would help him make a name for himself. The start was good enough to win him 2 of the first 6 rounds but in rounds 7 Bailey managed to get his timing and distance down to a tee. When he did that he dropped Fujinaka twice, with the second being the end of Fujinaka's brave effort, with the Japanese fighter feeling the efforts of the power that once made Bailey one of the fighters to avoid.
