Tomorrow Japanese fight fans at the Korakuen Hall will get the chance to see former world title challenger Hisashi Amagasa (32-6-2, 20) [天笠 尚] return to the ring, to take on an unknown Thai foe at the upcomign A-Sign Bee Vol 4.
Today Amagasa, and his Thai opponent, both weighed in for their bout and both came in just under the Featherweight limit. Despite both weighing in at the same weight they seemed to look like they were fighting several weight classes apart, with Amagasa towering the visitor.
At the weigh in Amagasa said that he would be fighting aggressively tomorrow, and was looking for a stoppage win from the off, following a couple of decision wins. It's going to be fun to see him go out there swinging, but it's fair to say that that says a fair bit about his opponent, with Amagasa clearly having no respect for the visitor.
Coming in to the bout Amagasa is ranked #18 by the WBC at Featherweight and is thought to be wanting to move towards a second world title fight in the future. As for the Thai he has promised to have a good fight, and will likely be coming to try and secure a massive upset.
For fight fans hoping to see this bout, it will be shown on pay service A-sign for a small fee.
