Earlier today fight fans at the Korakuen Hall had the chance to see former world title challenger Hisashi Amagasa (33-6-2, 21) [天笠 尚] taking on a horribly over-matched and under-sized Thai opponent.
Amagasa looked to make it an early night straight away and went on the front foot, dropping the Thai with a right hook very early on.
It was only due to Amagasa's sloppiness that Thai was able to recover some of his senses and see out the first round,. The Thai would be down twice in the opening minute of round 2 before surpringly dropping Amagasa, who rushed in and was caught but never looked hurt. Soon after being dropped himself Amagasa would knock the Thai down for the 4th knockdown of the round.
In round 3 Amagasa finally closed the show, dropping the Thai again, this time for the count with a body shot.
After the fight Amagasa stated the was wanting to face off with Japanese based Filipino Genesis Servania, the current WBO Asia Pacific Featherweight champion and that would be a much more interesting than this contest, which was little more than a public execution for the hapless visitor.
For fans interested in watching this bout, it will be featured on Asign boxing in the very near future.
