Yaegashi, a former 2-weight world champion, is dropping from Flyweight for this bout though is amazingly a smaller man than the Mexican, especially in terms of reach. The Japanese fighter will be giving away and astonishing 10.4Cm of reach to his Mexican for, who also has 2.4Cm of height advantage.
The always fun to watch Japanese warrior will know that he needs to get around that reach differential and get inside to have any chance of winning here, and becoming a 3-weight world champion. That however will be easier said than done and this could be a very tough fight for popular Japanese fighter.
Whilst Yaegashi is an experienced competitor at the world level Guevara isn't and this is just his second shot at a world title having previously come up short against Johnriel Casimero. Stylistically for the Mexican this is an easier bout than the Casimero one was however we suspect he will be dragged into a war here.
