Last week we reported that the Inoue brothers had signed a deal with talent agency Horipro. They are not the only boxers contracted to the agency as actress Shiraiwa Sakiko has announced that she will be taking her C class exam.
The 25 year old actress had played a boxing role in a recent movie before considering turning professional. She was taken under the wing of Momo Koseki and Koseki's gym, Aoki, chose to sign her and train her ahead of of her test, which she is likely to pass later today.
The actress will certainly generate some attention for any shows she takes part in, much like Tomomi Takano has done, though it's unlikely that she will go too far in the sport, despite showing a real desire to accomplish something of note in boxing.
Interestingly the story brings back memories of Korean actress-turned-boxer Lee Si Young who, who achieved notable success in the Korean amateur ranks before announcing her retirement in September, following recurring injuries.
