Asian All Stars
Yoshio Shirai, the first Japanese Wold Champion
One of our regular features on Asian Boxing will be looking at "Asian All Stars" the legendary men and women from around Asia who have left their imprint on the sport in a major way.
We intend to look at not only the legends of professional boxing such as Yoshio Shirai (pictured), Khaosai Galaxy, Pone Kingpetch and Ki-Soo Kim but also legendary amateurs such as Kiyoshi Tanabe, Shin Joon-Sup and José Villanueva. In fact we hope to to try and represent every Asian country that has touched the boxing world in one way or another.
Whilst we won't mention any active fighters here but we hope these articles will end up being interesting enough for everyone to enjoy, and to learn something from.
