This coming weekend sees Thai veteran Sod Kokietgym fight in a major clash with Cuban sensation Guillermo Rigondeaux. The bout, in Macau, is widely seen as a mismatch and even we'd write off Sod's chances to claim the WBO and WBA "super" Super Bantamweight titles however Sod isn't actually an awful fighter, he's just not in Rigondeaux's league, then again who is. With more than 60 wins under his belt Sod has experience, skills and know-how, all of which was one show when he scored a stunning 1 punch KO against the badly mismatched Frans Yarangga. Although the bout was a total mismatch it was still an impressive performance by Sod, given that he was fighting a former interim Indonesian Lightweight champion whilst Sod himself is a bona-fide Super Bantamweight. For those interested in place this bout in regards to time it was fought almost 2 years ago and since then Sod has added a further 5 wins to his record. Whilst we wish Sod all the best against Rigondeaux he'll almost certainly need more than just look to beat a man some regard as the best boxer, pound-for-pound, on the planet.
