August 26th 1996-Kokugikan, Tokyo, Japan Yuri Arbachakov (22-0, 15) vs Puma Toguchi (18-2, 15) When we talk about great bouts one that often goes over-looked is Yuri Arbachakov's great contest with Japan's popular Puma Toguchi [ピューマ渡久地]. This would be Toguchi's only world title challenge and unfortunately it came against someone as brilliant Yuri.

November 12th 1997-Tsukisamu Green Dome, Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan Yuri Arbachakov (23-0, 16) vs Chatchai Sasakul (29-1-1, 22) II In 1995 Japanese based Russian Yuri Arbachakov retained the WBC Flyweight title with a victory over Chatchai Sasakul [ฉัตรชัย อีลิทยิม]. In 1997 the two men rematched. July 15th 1991-Tokyo, Japan Yuri Arbachakov (7-0, 7) vs Takahiro Mizuno (4-4, 1) Japanese based Russian Yuri Arbachakov fought for his first title in 1991 when he took on Takahiro Mizuno for the Japanese Flyweight title. October 29th 1990-Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan Yuri Arbachakov (4-0, 4) vs Justo Zuniga (23-14-1, 12) In 1990 Russian fighter Yuri Arbachakov began his professional career in Japan. In his 5th professional bout the Russian took a big step up to face Mexican Justo Zuniga. February 1st 1990-Kokugikan, Tokyo, Japan Yuri Arbachakov (0-0) vs Allan Tanaka (0-4) In 1990 a number of Soviet fighters left the USSR to turn professional in Japan. One of those fighters was Russian born former amateur sensation Yuri Arbachakov, who debuted against Allan Tanaka. December 20th 1990- Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan Yuri Arbachakov (5-0, 5) Vs Rolando Bohol (27-5-3, 5) We all know Yuri Arbachakov as the man who dominated the Flyweight division for much of the 1990's. Prior to becoming a world champion in 1992 he was set on a fast track to success and in just his 6th professional bout he took on Filipino Rolando Bohol, a former IBF Flyweight world champion. Bohol had the edge in terms of professional experience and had fought at a much higher level to to Yuri but that was seen as no problem by the team behind the Japanese based Russian.
