July 2nd 1994-Blaisdell Center Arena, Honolulu, Hawaii, USA Yuichi Kasai (19-1-1, 13) vs Francisco Chavez (18-6, 7) In 1994 former world title challenger Yuichi Kasai [葛西 裕一] travelled to Hawaii and took on Francisco Chavez in a scheduled 10 rounder. July 26th 1997-Arena, Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan Yuichi Kasai (24-3-1, 15) Vs Antonio Cermeno (27-1, 16) II In December 1996 Yuichi Kasai came up short in his second world title fight, losing a decision to Antonio Cermeno in the US. The following year Cermeno travelled to Japan to face Kasai in a rematch, in what would be Kasai's third shot at a world title. November 12th 1991-Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan Yuichi Kasai (10-0, 7) vs Katsuhito Tokuhisa (1-0) In 1991 Japanese fans saw Yuchi Kasai battle against Katsuhito Tokuhisa. Later in his career Kasai would challenge, multiple times, for a world title. Note-Tokuhisa is listed as being 8-2-2 (4) December 21st 1996-The Aladdin, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Yuichi Kasai (24-2-1, 15) Vs Antonio Cermeno (25-1, 16) In 1996 Japan's Yuichi Kasai [葛西 裕一] fought in a trio of bouts in Las Vegas, the third of which saw him take on the then WBA Super Bantamweight champion Antonio Cermeno. The two men would meet again in 1997, with that bout being held in Japan. |
