Yasuei Yakushiji (22-2-1, 16) Vs Joichiro Tatsuyoshi (10-1-1, 8)
Some bouts are big, others are bigger. Arguably the biggest all Japanese bout of all time was the 1994 clash between WBC Bantamweight champion Yasuei Yakushiji [薬師寺 保栄] and Interim champion Joichiro Tatsuyoshi [辰吉 丈一郎]. The bout was one that drew a huge purse bid, massive attention in Japan and was regarded as the first "All-Japanese Unification bout", due to it unifying the WBC world and interim titles. It was a bout that still lives on as one of the most significant bouts in the country, more than 20 years later.
