July 13th 1998-Tokyo, Japan Takeo Imaoka (20-3, 11) vs Samuel Duran (57-16-2, 28) II In 1997 Takeo Imaoka won the OPBF Featherweight title, taking a decision over Filipino veteran Samuel Duran. The following year the two men had a rematch, with Duran looking to reclaim the title from Imaoka.

One of his bouts as champion saw him take on Filipino challenger Noel Panescoro. |
