Pichit Sithbanprachan (20-0, 16) vs Jose Luis Zepeda (23-11-2, 19)
In 1994 Thai fans saw Pichit Sithbanprachan make the final defense of the IBF Flyweight title as he faced Mexican puncher Jose Luis Zepeda. On paper the bout was a mismatch with the unbeaten champion facing a man who had lost around 30% of his bouts, Zepeda however hadn't read the script and came to win, as he had in all his previous bouts. Incidentally whilst Zepeda's record was less than stellar he had mixed with very good competition prior to this bout, including Humberto Gonzalez, Ricardo Lopez, German Torres and the then unbeaten Scotty Olson, who he beat in bout previous to this one.
