Note - Yang also reportedly had 19 wins coming into this bout. October 9th 1994-Ramkamhaeng University, Bangkok, Thailand Pichit Chor Siriwat (7-0, 4) Vs Leo Gamez (26-3-1, 19) Thailand's Pichit Chor Siriwat [พิชิต ช.ศิริวัฒน์] got his first world title fight in just his 8th bout. The aged 19 he faced the highly accomplished Leo Gamez, who was defending the WBA Light Flyweight title for the 3rd time December 3rd 1996-Prefectural Gymnasium, Osaka, Osaka, Japan Pichit Chor Siriwat (16-1, 8) Vs Keiji Yamaguchi (21-1, 7) In 1996 Thailand's Pichit Chor Siriwat [พิชิต ช.ศิริวัฒน์] travelled to Japan to face then then WBA Light Flyweight champion Keiji Yamaguchi [山口圭司] in what looked like a well matched bout on paper, with each fighter having just a single blemish on their records. Note-During the research for this we were informed that Pichit Chor Siriwat was the brother of fellow champion Pichit Sithbanprachan, one of the few world champions to retire unbeaten. |
