May 3rd 2007-Ariake Colosseum, Tokyo, Japan Edwin Valero (21-0, 21) vs Nobuhito Honmo (29-4-2, 5) In 2008 Teiken promoted Venezuelan Edwin Valero was the WBA Super Featherweight champion, with a perfect 21-0 (21) record. He would make his second defense as he took on Japanese challenger Nobuhito Honmo, a former Japanese and OPBF champion who had never been stopped in 35 bouts. June 1st 2002- Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan Nobuhito Honmo (18-4-1, 4) vs Makoto Saito (4-5, 1) In summer 2002 fight fans at the Korakuen Hall saw Nobuhito Honmo battle against Makoto Saito. May 20th 2006-Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan Nobuhito Honmo (27-4-2, 5) vs Jimrex Jaca (26-1-1, 12) Japan's Nobuhito Honmo finished his career in 2007, losing in a world title bout to Edwin Valero. Prior to that he had been an OPBF and Japanese champion. One of his previous title bouts saw him take on Filipino Jimrex Jaca. |
