June 10th 1989- Prefectural Gymnasium, Osaka, Osaka, Japan Hiroki Ioka (11-1, 7) vs Napa Kiatwanchai (9-0-1, 4) III The third and final bout between Hiroki Ioka [井岡 弘樹] and Napa Kiatwanchai [นภา เกียรติวันชัย] came in June 1989. The bout saw Ioka looking to regain the WBC title he had lost to Napa the previous November.

June 8th 1990- Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan Hideyuki Ohashi (13-3, 9) vs Napa Kiatwanchai (11-1-1, 5) In early 1990 Japan's Hideyuki Ohashi [大橋秀行] claimed the WBC Minimumweight title, less than 4 months later he returned to the ring to make his first defense, as he took on Thailand's Napa Kiatwanchai [นภา เกียรติวันชัย] September 14th 1992-Great Western Forum, Inglewood, California, USA Napa Kiatwanchai (15-2-1,8) Vs Humberto Gonzalez (34-1, 26) In 1992 Thailand's former world champion Napa Kiatwanchai [นภา เกียรติวันชัย] challenged Mexican great Humberto Gonzalez. November 13th 1988- Prefectural Gymnasium, Osaka, Osaka, Japan Hiroki Ioka (10-0-1, 6) vs Napa Kiatwanchai (7-0-1, 4) II In June 1988 Hiroki Ioka [井岡 弘樹] defended the WBC Minimumweight title with a draw against Thailand's Napa Kiatwanchai [นภา เกียรติวันชัย]. The two men met again in November in their second, of three, meeting. June 5th 1988-Kinki University Auditorium, Osaka, Osaka, Japan Hiroki Ioka (10-0, 6) vs Napa Kiatwanchai (6-0, 3) In just over a year during the late 1980's fans saw Hiroki Ioka [井岡 弘樹] face off against Thailand's Napa Kiatwanchai three times. He's their first bout, from June 1988. November 12th 1989- World Trade Center, Seoul, South Korea Napa Kiatwanchai (10-0-1, 5) Vs Jum Hwan Choi (19-2, 7) Back in the late 1980's South Korea was one of boxing's most important countries with numerous top tier fighters across a number of divisions. One of the top Korean's at the time was Jum Hwan Choi, a former Light Flyweight champion. Following the loss of his Light Flyweight title Choi dropped to Minimumweight and challenged unbeaten WBC champion Napa Kiatwanchai, of Thailand. This up and down bout saw numerous knockdowns and a lot of action. |
