Naoya Inoue (N/a) Vs Birzhan Zhakipov (N/a)
At the end of 2014 we saw Naoya Inoue becoming "the name" in Japan. Just over 2 years earlier the Japanese fighter had failed to make it to the Olympics unfortunately coming up short in the final of the 2012 Asian Qualifying tournament. The Japanese fighter, who isn't used to losing, took on Kazakhstan's Birzhan Zhakipov in the final of the qualifying event in Zhakipov's native home country and it's fair to say this was a lot more competitive than some may have suspect. After all Zhakipov was a "red hot favourite", a more mature and experienced fighter and the hometown favourite.
