April 14th 2019-KBS Hall, Kyoto, Kyoto, Japan Nao Ikeyama (18-5-3, 5) vs Yuko Kuroki (18-6-1, 8) Back in April 2019 fight fans in Kyoto had a mouth watering female bout as former WBC female Minimumweight champion Yuko Kuroki[黒木優子] clashed with former WBO Atomweight champion Nao Ikeyama [森脇恵子]. Although we know most fans don't enjoy female boxing this is worth a watch especially when you consider Ikeyama was 49 at the time!

July 29th 2018-KBS Hall, Kyoto, Kyoto, Japan Nao Ikeyama (18-3-3, 5) vs Mika Iwakawa (7-5-1, 3) II In July 2018 48 year old WBO Atomweight champion Nao Ikeyama [森脇恵子] took on Mika Iwakawa [岩川美花], in a rematch that was over 4 years in the making. December 19th 2015-Sirasa Stein Studios, Colombo, Sri Lanka Nao Ikeyama (16-3-1, 4) vs Jujeath Nagaowa (13-15-1, 8) In December 2015 fight fans in Sri Lanka saw a small bit of history being made, as WBO Atomweight champion Nao Ikeyama [森脇恵子] took on Filipino challenger Jujeath Nagaowa. Interestingly the fight, one of the first professional contests in Sri Lanka, saw an 18 year age difference between the two fighters ! August 15th 2010-Goseong Gymnasium, Goseong, South Korea Ji Hyun Park (11-2, 4) vs Nao Ikeyama (11-2-1, 4) In 2010 Korean Ji Hyun Park, the then IFBA Minimumweight champion, took on Nao Ikeyama, who would subsequently claim the WBO Atomweight title. |
