June 15th 1991-Indoor Gymnasium, Seoul, South Korea Young Kyun Park (18-1-1, 10) vs Masuaki Takeda (16-1, 6) In the Spring of 1991 Korean "Bulldozer" Park Young Kyun [박영균] claimed the WBA Featherweight title, dethroning long term champion Antonio Esparragoza. Less than 3 months later he was back in the ring looking for his first defense, as he took on Japanese challenger Masuaki Takeda [竹田 益朗].

December 9th 1996-Tokyo, Japan Koji Arisawa (14-0, 11) vs Masuaki Takeda (25-3, 12) After winning the Japanese Featherweight title in April 1996 the unbeaten Koji Arisawa was on a roll. In his second defense, just 8 months later, he took on former world title challenger Masuaki Takeda. |
