September 18th 2015-Yageer Gymnasium, Ningbo, China Cai Zong Ju (5-1, 1) Vs Mari Ando (12-7, 5) Whilst we watch a lot of fights involving men there is something to be very excited about when we get high paced female bouts. The 2 minutes rounds seem to help keep the action fast and that was seen recently when Japan's Mari Ando faced China's Cai Zong Ju in an entertaining scrap in Ningbo. June 24rd 2013- Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan Ayaka Miyao (14-5-1, 1) Vs Mari Ando (10-4, 5) II In September 2012 Japanese fans saw Ayaka Miyao take a hard fought decision over Mari Ando to claim the WBA Atomweight title. Just 9 months later Miyao found herself defending the title for the second time as she again met Ando (Note the record shown on screen for Miyao is wrong and doesn't include some early career fights she was involved in. September 16th 2012- Yomiuri Bunka Hall, Toyonaka, Osaka, Japan Ayaka Miyao (12-5-1, 1) Vs Mari Ando (9-3, 4) Ohashi gym have had numerous successes over the years but one of their most under-rated is female fighter Ayaka Miyao, the current WBA Atomweight champion. Miyao is far from a big name though she is a gutsy and hard working fighter who first came to the attention of hardcore fights fans back in 2012 when she battled domestic compatriot, and then WBA Atomweight champion, Mari Ando. |
