July 17th 2004-Reliant Center, Houston, Texas, USA Lakva Sim (19-3-1, 16) Vs Juan Diaz (24-0, 12) In April 2004 Lakva Sim [Дугарбаатарын Лхагва] became a 2-weight world champion with a stoppage win over Miguel Callist to claim the WBA Lightweight title. Just 3 months later he returned to the ring to try and defend that title against the then fast rising Juan Diaz. October 31st 1999-Gudeok Gymnasium, Busan, South Korea Jong Kwon Baek (20-0, 18) Vs Lakva Sim (11-1-1, 10) In 1999 fans saw Lakva Sim [Дугарбаатарын Лхагва] become the first Mongolian world champion. In his first defense he faced heavy handed Korean Jong kwon Baek [백종권]. Between them the men had 31 wins with 28 KO's and had only been the distance in 5 combined bouts. February 1st 1997-Songnam Gymnasium, Seoul, South Korea Yong Soo Choi (21-2, 13) Vs Lakva Sim (5-0, 4) In recent years we've seen a lot of fighters being fast tracked, with mixed success. One fighter to be fast tracked to a title fight was Mongolian Lakva Sim [Дугарбаатарын Лхагва] who, in his 6th professional bout, challenged WBA Super Featherweight champion Yong Soo Choi [최용수] of South Korea. April 13th 2002-Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand Yodsanan Sor Nanthachai (37-2-1, 31) vs Lakva Sim (16-2-1, 13) In 2002 Thai fans got a treat as local action fighter Yodsanan Sor Nanthachai [ยอดสนั่น 3เคแบตเตอรี่] took on former world champion Lakva Sim [Дугарбаатарын Лхагва ], of Mongolia, for the then vacant WBA Super Featherweight title, which had been made vacant after the WBA had elevated Aceline Freitas's position to "Super Champion".
