December 4th 2015-Royal Square, Bangkok, Thailand Kwanpichit OnesongchaiGym (33-1-2, 18) v Julias Kisarawe (21-2, 11) Every so often Thai fans get a bout that looks great on paper. One recent bout was a contest between WBO Oriental Flyweight champion Kwanpichit Onesongchaigym and Tanzanian challenger Julias Kisarawe. On paper this looked great but there had been question marks going in due to the level at which Kisarawe had been fighting at.

October 2nd 2015-Central Westgate Shopping Center, Bangyai Nonthaburi, Thailand Kwanpichit OnesongchaiGym (32-1-2, 17) v Srisomdech Kwanjaisrikod (0-1) Thailand's Kwanpichit OnesongchaiGym came to everyone's attention last year when he fought Zou Shiming and left many people doing a double-take due to his alarmingly "Pacquioa like" look. Although Kwanpichit lost to Shiming he has been busy rebuilding and his most recent bout saw him taking on the unknown Srisomdech Kwanjaisrikod, who is likely to remain unknown going forward. The Thai lost that fight, widely, but has been on a roll since, as seen in his recent bout with Thaminkhao Sor Tharnthip. This bout was the second between the two men, with the first being Kwanpichit's first bout following his loss to Shiming. (Video courtesy tko.in.th) June 5th 2015- Pathum Thani, Thailand Kwanpichit OnesongchaiGym (29-1-2, 14) Vs Charnsaknoi Sakrungrueng (2-5, 2) That contender Kwanpichit Onesongchaigym is known by Western fans for two things. Firstly he's the Thai Manny Pacquiao lookey-likey and secondly he was widely beaten by Zou Shiming in Macau. Despite those less than outstanding memories he's actually a decent, as seen when he fought Charnsaknoi Sakrungrueng. (Video courtesy of tko.in.th) April 3rd 2015- Sripathum University, Bangkok, Thailand Kwanpichit OnesongchaiGym (28-1-2, 13) Vs Haji Juma (14-6-5, 7) Last November we saw Kwanpichit OnesongchaiGym come up short in his most notable bout to date, suffering a wide decision loss to the then unbeaten Zou Shiming. Since then Kwanpichit has fought twice with the most recent of those bouts coming against the stubborn Haji Juma from Tanzania. What was supposed to be a mismatch turned out to be a genuinely interesting match up and a very good clash of styles. (Video courtesy of tko.in.th) March 6th 2015- Wat Thatthong School, Bangkok, Thailand Kwanpichit Onesongchaigym (27-1-2, 12) Vs Thaminkhao Sor Tharnthip (4-10-1, 3) Late last year we saw Thailand's Kwanpichit Onesongchaigym battle against China's Zou Shiming. The bout was a clear loss for Kwanpichit though the Thai had made headlines by looking surprisingly like Manny Pacquiao with some said to have confused the two. In Kwanpichit's first bout since his loss to Shiming fans saw him taker on Thaminkhao Sor Tharnthip in what was essentially an easy comeback fight. (Video courtesy of tko.in.th) The Thai boxing scene is one of the most difficult to follow unless you can read and speak Thai. We have been incredibly fortunate to come across a someone willing to help us who does understand Thai and they have been able to inform about several contests that aren't on boxrec, though probably should be. One of those bouts is this one between the world ranked Kwanpichit Onesongchaigym and the completely unknown, and win-less, Saichon or Ounsuwan. The bout was, as far as we are aware, the 30th bout that Kwanpichit has fought in and his 28th professional win. It was however a mismatch with Saichon falling to 0-19 as a result of this loss.
