We often talk about our adoration of the all action Koki Eto who appears to be in great fights every time he steps in the ring. We're happy to admit his ridiculous flaws but that's part of what makes him so much fun. His lack of defence combined with his insane will to win will always make us excited to see Koki Eto's name in any fight.
The first fight to bring Eto to our attention was his short but fun bout with Thailand's Denchailek Kratingdaenggym. With in a round of the fight Eto's lack of defence was evident though so to were the traits that slowly made us fall in love with him including his willingness to give up his height and reach. That was despite the opening round being a tame one. In the second round however the pace of the bout picked up and both guys started to unload on each other. The unloading wasn't the most technically sound or accurate but it was great to see with Eto throwing wildly and Denchailek trying to answer back in kind. It was whilst throwing some ludicrous shots that Eto was countered and dropped though in an instant he was up and replying in kind and he dropped the Thai visitor. Just a few moments after the men had traded knockdowns Eto managed to land one of the best shots of his career to send Denchailek down face first. Amazingly the Thai recovered from the hard knockdown but Eto's killer instinct kicked in with the Thai going down for a third time as Eto announced himself as a must watch action fighter. Within a year of winning this bout Eto had won the WBA interim Flyweight title, winning a war with Kompayak Porpramook in another must watch bout. Since then he has been involved in an enthralling contest with Yodmongkol Vor Saengthep and an insanely exciting bout with Ardin Diale, a contest that we have down as a 2014 FOTY contender.
