August 24th 2019-Takeda Teva Ocean Arena, Nagoya, Aichi, Japan Kento Hatanaka (9-0, 9) vs Jaysever Abcede (19-8, 12) Back in August second generation fight Kento Hatanaka [畑中 建人] took a huge step up in class, as he took on world ranked Filipino southpaw Jaysever Abcede, who was known in Asia as being much better than his record suggested. For fans just looking at the records this looked like a mismatch, but in reality this was an excellent test, and a fantastic fight.

October 30th 2015-Sawan Vegas Hotel Suwannakhet, Laos Petchmanee Kokietgym (9-0, 4) Vs Jaysever Abcede (10-3, 6) Earlier this year we saw Filipino fighter Jaysever Abcede play the spoiler in Thailand as he upset the then WBO #1 ranked Minimumweight contender Pigmy Kokietgym. August 28th 2015-Bangkok, Thailand Pigmy Kokietgym (57-7-2, 23) v Jaysever Abcede (9-3, 5) Regularly when a fighter travels to Thailand they are doing so for a payment to lose against a local fighter. In recent times however we've been seeing fighters travel with then intention of upsetting the applecart, as seen recently when Jestoni Autida over-came Ratchasak KKP. This week we saw another Filipino with the intention of being more than just the "deisignated loser". This time it was Jaysever Abcede who traveled to face former world title challenger Pigmy Kokietgym, a man who had been all but promised another world title shot later this year.
