Earlier today at the Legend Boxing Gym in Gimpo, there was a small card from Hannam Promotion. The event wasn't a big one, or one with a very polished feel but it was still something for the hardcore. Albeit something that saw the live feed cut off midway through the main event, in what was a rather frustrating occurrence. Given that the KBC is still seen as a bit of a joke and limited promotion things like streams cutting out doesn't do anything to help their reputation. Then again it was nice to have live boxing boxing, and we do need to thank Hannam for that.

Earlier today Cocky Buffalo held a show in Vietnam headlined by a genuine fantastic WBO Oriental Youth Featherweight title fight between Jong Seon Kang, from South Korea, and Filipino Tomjune Mangubat. Whilst the show wasn't high quality from top to bottom, it was certainly a a show worth watching, featuring not only a great main event but also a number of promising hopefuls, like Esneth Domingo, Van Thao Tran and Thi Thu Nhi Nguyen. Earlier today fight fans in Korea had a BoxingM Show full of novices to enjoy. The card wasn't the best on paper, and things weren't held by the odd camera angle they used for the show, from over the top of one of the corners. Had this been a 2-camera set up, or a set up with the camera in a more straight on view this would have been a lot more enjoyable to watch than what we got. This past Saturday Powcast in the Philippines live streamed a card from Digos City, headlined by a clash between unbeaten Filipino Jenel Lausa and Indonesian Carlos Lopez. The was't a big one, but did feature a mix of knockdowns, 5 in the main event, and novices. This past Saturday the excellent Rappler live streamed the full show "Battle of Bohol" which was headlined by local favourite Mark Magsayo, who took on Pungluang Sor Singyu, aka Panya Uthok. The card was focused on Magsayo but also featured some other great action including Renoel Pael and Giovanni Escaner, in what was a tremendously exciting fight. This past weekend ESPN5 put on their latest card, headlined by rising young star Carl Jammes Martin taking on Thai visitor Yutthichai Wannawong. The full show can be seen below, as live, with ESPN5 wonderfully taking the option to upload the full card, and they are likely to upload specific bouts in the coming days as well. Earlier today MOE Sports broadcast the latest show from Taiwan in full. It wasn't a stacked card by any means but it will play a key role in the development of boxing in Taiwan, and for that reason this is worth noting, and being aware of. Earlier today ESPN5 live streamed their latest show, Night of Champions XVII. The show wasn't a stacked one, but did feature a number of minor title fights and a brilliant main event between Al Toyogon and Ryo Sagawa, in what was a real thriller of a main event. We're expecting this card to be uploaded on a fight by fight basis shortly, but here is the full show, and it's certainly worth a watch. This past Saturday Thai channel Workpoint put on their latest show, headlined by an OPBF Silver title fight at 140lbs, between the unbeaten pairing of Apichet Petchmanee and Sadudee To Buamas, and also an interesting looking contest between Pongsaklek Sithdabnij and Marco John Rementizo. Those two bouts, along with the rest of the show, can be seen below courtesy of Workpoint. Note this card also had a shambolic refereeing display from one of the referees, who perhaps should look for new employment following his performance here. Earlier today Gerrypens Promotions put on a card that pitting a number of Filipino's against Tanzanian fighters. Wonderfully ESPN5 have left the card online in full for fans wanting to watch it. The card wasn't the most competitive but did feature notable name fighters including former world champion Marlon Tapales, Reymart Gaballo, Carlo Penalosa and Dave Penalosa, all of whom looked very impressive. |
