September 1st 2018-Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan Yuta Saito (10-9-3, 7) vs Eita Kikuchi (21-5-4, 8) Through much of 2018 the Japanese Bantamweight title has been vacant, with Ryo Akaho vacating the belt when he was unable to make weight for a bout in January. Since then we've seen 2 vacant title bouts being cancelled, with the vacancy only being filled today, after almost 8 months. The bout to fill the vacancy saw Yuta Saito [齊藤裕太] face off with Eita Kikuchi [菊地永太], with both men desperate to get the gold around their waist and claim their most significant win to date. Without spoiling the contest, this was very much worth the wait and turned out to be a very special bout
