Up to this point Chandler was leading the rivalry 1-0-1, following a draw in their first bout. The first bout between the two men took place in April 1981 and ended in a draw. The first rematch, this bout, took place just 8 months later. Prior to this bout Takada had previously been involved in two world title fights and was a former OPBF champion himself. June 30th 1978-Tokyo, Japan Eijiro Murata (10-0, 7) vs In-Kyu Park (1-0, 1)* Boxing is full of stories of fighters who vanished, or failed to go on from a notable result. One such fight is In-Kyu Park who, according to boxrec at least, took on multi-time world title challenger Eijiro Murata [村田英次郎] in 1978, and held his own with the Japanese fighter.
