May 2nd 2004-IMP Hall, Osaka, Osaka, Japan Waen Lertsungnern (15-5-2, 10) vs Eiji Kojima (9-2, 2) III In May 2004 fight fans in Osaka got the third, and final, bout between Thailand's Waen Lertsungnern and former 2-time world title challenger Eiji Kojima [小島 英次]. The first two bouts had seen Kojima winning decisions, including winning the OPBF Super Flyweight title in their second bout. A title he was defending here.

Munoz had beaten Kojima in 2 rounds in 2002, with Kojima scoring 3 wins over Thai's to build some momentum into this rematch. July 31st 2002-Prefectural Gymnasium, Osaka, Osaka, Japan Eiji Kojima (6-0, 1) Vs Alexander Munoz (22-0, 22) In 2002 the fast rising Eiji Kojima got his first world title fight, as he went up against the hard hitting Alexander Munoz, in what was Munoz's second bout in Japan. Incidentally these two men would have a rematch in 2004. |
